Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

This letter is to inform you that, since Thursday, we learned four (4) individuals of the T. Baldwin Demarest Elementary School have tested positive for COVID-19. As a District, we respect the privacy of anyone who has tested positive. As is required, the Health Department has been informed.

There are no close contacts to identify or notify.

As a continued reminder, if your child(ren) develops one or more COVID-19 related symptoms, please do not send your child(ren) to school.  If you are awaiting testing results, please do not send your child(ren) to school until you receive the results.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated their guidelines for K-12 schools. Our overview guideline chart has been updated, reflecting this most recent CDC guidance. Our school nurses and principals remain responsive and available to assist you. They are more than willing to answer questions for you and to help you determine school return dates for your child(ren), if necessary.
