Message from the Superintendent: Re-Opening FAQs

24 July 2020

Dear Parent(s)/Parent(s):

Thank you so much for the many responses we have already received to our
Return-to-School Intention Survey. The survey will close on Friday, 8/7/2020, at midnight. Your responses will aid us in finalizing our return-to-school plans. If you choose not to respond to the survey, then it will be assumed that your child(ren) will be returning to school for in-person classroom instruction.

We developed a listing of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), which might be helpful to you as we all think about returning to school. This FAQ list will be posted to our website for easy reference and will be updated, as appropriate.

As was mentioned in my previous message, our Re-Opening Plan is awaiting review by the County Department of Education and approval by the State Department of Education. Any imposed directive(s) by the Departments of Education or the Governor’s Office could change our Plan at any time. My weekly communications will keep you updated.

The faculty and staff of the Old Tappan School District are truly looking forward to returning to our classrooms in September!

Enjoy your weekend and stay well.

Respectfully,
Danielle M. Da Giau, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
Old Tappan Public School District
