• Message from the District Superintendent

Ms. Danielle Da Giau Welcome to the Old Tappan Public School District!

The Old Tappan School District is truly a special place where the Board of Education, faculty, staff, and community seek to create an environment that is both challenging and nurturing for every learner.

Anchored by the core values of community, curiosity, courage, creativity, and commitment, our District’s statement of purpose comes to life every day, as we foster a community of learners in which each participant’s interests, gifts and talents, dreams, and personal-best are explored, cultivated, expressed, and celebrated. (Click here to view Our District’s Values, Statement of Purpose, and Vision.)

Through honest and productive discussions with all school and community stakeholders, our District strives to strengthen collaborative and team-oriented relationships; develops progressive initiatives and programming; and continues to create a learning environment that moves the school community forward to address both short-term and long-range academic and operational goals that align with our articulated District values, purpose, and vision. (Click here to view Our District’s Blueprint for Growth and Development.)  We are committed to supporting one another, making the most of the opportunities and resources provided to us, and to embracing progress.

I look forward to exciting learning opportunities for all of our District’s learners. Our schools are successful, in large part, because we have dedicated educators, a supportive school community, and motivated students!

I urge you to reach out to any faculty member or to me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding our District. Open communication is critical to our effectiveness, and we look forward to hearing from you.

On behalf of the educators, support staff, and administrators in the Old Tappan School District, I thank you for your ongoing support of our schools!

    Respectfully,
    Danielle M. Da Giau
    Superintendent
